Did they all just find out and realize that Jesus Christ “will actually really return,” is that their focus there? If so, that is something to be joyful about, but, other than that, this man-made civilization can never produce actual joy and peace; never, so the glee would be momentary and fake!

Maybe that is what they were joyful over! The imminent return of Christ is certainly joyous! Maybe they were reveling in the good news of the gospel and realizing how loved they are by God, so much so that He would sacrifice His Son in their place, as payment for their sins. Maybe they were speaking of the miracle of the resurrection! These would all be good instigators of joy!! 😃
