“My son…
Proverbs 3:33-35
The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed. The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame.”
My beloved child,
At times it will feel as though God is against you. Those are cues for repair, not for despair. God has given a direct diagram for how to trade mocking, curses and shame for blessings, favor and honor.

Curses for Blessings
Do you feel a curse on your every attempt to succeed? Is there spiritual turmoil at home? Please drop immediately to your knees. Ask God to reveal anything shameful or wicked which may be overshadowing your righteousness. Trade it in and receive the Lord’s blessings in return.
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalm 139:23-24
Mocking for Favor
When you open the Bible, does it seem as though God is mocking you? Is it possible you’re mocking Him with the way you’re choosing to live? Humble yourself and decide to be oppressed by people, for God, instead of the other way around. The favor shown to you by the Lord will be well worth the trade.
“Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.”
Psalm 5:12

Shame for Honor
Are you carrying a burdensome load of shame? Do not be a fool; lay it down! God wants to take the worthlessness you’ve acquired through foolish means and give you the honor He bestows on the wise. Make that trade every time!
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalm 37:4
God is always moving you forward. When you feel Him in your way, realize it is because you are veering in the wrong direction. Alter your course in deference to His leadership. Proceed with confidence that you know how to trade mocking, curses and shame for blessings, favor and honor.
You are cherished beyond measure.
