“My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.”

My beloved child,
I pray for you to know the sure standard for sweet sleep, solid steps and sound satisfaction. The Holy Spirit is imparting Godly wisdom to your heart and mind. He is helping you to understand and to use His judgement and discretion. Never lose sight of these things, for by them are promised many blessings.
The sure standard for sweet sleep…
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) With your heart full of God’s wisdom and understanding, you will enjoy sweet sleep.
The sure standard for solid steps…
When you walk, you will not stumble. You will advance in safety. If wisdom is the focal point by which you set your gaze, you will be characterized by solid steps.
The sure standard for sound satisfaction…
The wisdom, understanding, judgement and discretion God gives will be life to you. They will flank you like a lion’s mane, the majesty of your Savior on full display. There is no more direct route to sound satisfaction than to fully embody the purpose for which you were created and to which you were called.
God is giving Himself to you through His Holy Spirit. He is the sure standard for sweet sleep, solid steps and sound satisfaction. Preserve His character within you and in time it will become the very essence of who you are.
You are truly and deeply loved.
