Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, ‘Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you’ – when you already have it with you. Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. Do not accuse anyone for no reason – when they have done you no harm.”

My beloved child,

There is 1 power move you can use today to win your neighbor’s trust. It is as simple as it is effective, although it may be inconvenient. It is this:

Do good and do it now.

Are your neighbors living peaceably near you? Be upright and charitable with them. Reward their large and small kindnesses with swift appreciation.

Extend grace to those around you. Believe the best of your neighbors and do whatever is in your power to keep them from harm. Their trust is invaluable and your effort to safeguard it pleases God.

Bestow every act of kindness you have at your disposal. This is the 1 power move you can use today to win your neighbor’s trust. Use it generously, use it often. If it applies, use it now.
